DEEP FLOW

This is a challenging, slower-paced, all levels class that draws from Forrest yoga, flow yoga, core strength exercises and breath awareness to help students of all levels develop greater strength, flexibility and inner awareness. The class emphasizes alignment basics, breath work, injury healing and prevention. Beginner friendly.


Elevation Flow

Elevation Flow is a vigorous, technical, creative, healthy, playful Flow style that works for students with 6-12 mo.+ of vinyasa yoga practice (+ active beginners) from the ground up, using staged physical challenges to create the conditions for feeling calm, joyful, and connected.In Elevation Flow, rest and release are as important as effort and skill. Students are encouraged to follow the sensation level of their bodies to determine how to approach each element of the class. Partner work is offered to foster connection and learning, but is always optional to allow space for personal needs and preferences.


FLOW

Vigorous flow style yoga taught in a heated room with excellent music, creative sequencing, and a mindful attention to detail. All Levels Flow suits new students (who are injury free) and seasoned practitioners alike, since poses can be modified to fit each student. It's always fine to rest in child's pose if needed. Familiarity with sun salutations is helpful. Each teacher brings a unique flair — and we suggest reading the teacher bio's to get a sense of how a particular class might feel. Beginning students, or those who are returning after an injury or a break from practice, might enjoy starting out with Flow 1/2, Hatha, Mellow, or Deep Flow classes.


HAPPY HOUR YOGA 

HHY is a one hour, donation based flow class open to all levels. On the first Friday of each month, all proceeds from Happy Hour Yoga go to a local nonprofit organization. Patrons are welcome to suggest recipients, for more information talk to Jessie Hurd (the instructor).


LATE NIGHT YOGA

This is a one hour, donation based flow class open to all levels. It's a pretty groovy scene, perfect for night owls and yoga renegades.

MELLOW FLOW 

Mellow Flow is a slower flow class that will calm your mind and ease your soul. Class will start with a warmup, evolve into a solid slow-strengthening practice, and end with meditation and relaxation.


Nourishing FLOW

Nourishing Flow begins with a warm-up, chanting, & introduction of a traditional yoga theme. Class progresses to a moderate flow with precise guidance in alignment. Yin & restorative poses complete the experience, leaving students relaxed and refreshed.


Rocket 1, 2, 3

The Rocket was created by Larry Schultz, the late (and great!) founder of It's Yoga San Francisco. Larry created the Rocket Routines, a series of postures based on a modification of the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga primary and intermediate series. This vibrant system is called the "Rocket" because, "it gets you there faster." The Rocket is designed to wake up the nervous system and feed it the precious prana it craves while promoting a spirit of change and freedom in the practice. 

The Rocket 1 focuses mostly on leg flexibility, balance, spinal stretches, twists and alignment. Instructions will be given to learn a posture or transition from the most basic step to the most advanced expression of possibilities. The Rocket 2 focuses on endurance, upper body strength, arm & hand balancing, back bending and hip opening. This class also includes some Pilates moves for core strength & awareness. Rocket 3 includes the Rocket 1 and 2 routines and is taught at a fast pace to complete a sequence of 90 postures in 90 minutes.


YOGA FOR BOOMERS PLUS

This Gentle Exercise & Yoga class integrates stretching muscles, increasing mobility in joints, strengthening, breathing fully, relaxing, and self-massage. Class participants are encouraged to become aware of the physical sensations that come with increased circulation, mobility and energy flow, connecting body and mind without judgment or competitiveness. Sessions are flowing and restorative yet invigorating, allowing you to feel energized and relaxed while having fun. The class is designed to accommodate a variety of levels and ages, from those who are out of condition to those who are fairly fit. Please note: this class is on a separate payment system from other Flying Yoga classes and you cannot sign up online. Contact the instructor, Ziv, at zporat@bigplanet.com before coming to class for the first time. Class by donation — suggested range: $9 to $14.
